Microsoft adds a gaming bundle for the Surface Pro 2
The Surface Pro 2 Geek and Sundry bundle includes an Xbox 360 Wireless Controller for Windows, a downloadable copy of Farming Simulator 2013, and downloadable content for the free-to-play game War Thunder. The bundle costs the same as the Surface Pro 2 by itself, starting at $899 for the 64GB model.
Windows XP diehards to fend off hackers on their own
SAN FRANCISCO: People clinging to Microsoft’s aging Windows XP operating system will be left to fend off cyber criminals by themselves come Tuesday.
On April 8, the US software colossus will stop patching newly found security holes in Windows XP code that hackers could exploit to slip into computers.
Despite Microsoft’s long-heralded plan to stop “supporting” the nearly 13-year-old operating system, it still powers from 20 to 30 percent of Windows machines around the world, according to industry estimates.
“I am sure you have everything from police departments to banks to legal offices to restaurants,” Trustwave director Christopher Pogue said while discussing the extent to which Windows XP is still used.

"Our target is to achieve revenues of over Rs 6,200 crore or USD 1 billion in financial year 2014-15, of which smartphones will contribute 75 per cent," Lava International Chairman and Managing Director Hari Om Rai told PTI.
Galaxy S5 launch upstaged by mobile network companies, Samsung 'very puzzled'
SK Telecom, South Korea's largest mobile carrier, said it will start selling the Galaxy S5 on Thursday, two weeks before the scheduled sales launch on April 11.
Samsung said in a statement that it is "very puzzled" by SK Telecom's decision and is deciding how to respond. It said its schedule of overseas launches remains unchanged.Other mobile operators, KT and LG Uplus are following SK Telecom's move to release the phone early.
Samsung adding anti-theft solution 'Find My Mobile' to smartphones
The world's largest mobile-phone maker said users will be able to activate for free its "Find My Mobile" and "Reactivation Lock" anti-theft features to protect the soon-to-be-released Galaxy 5 S.
The features that will lock the phone if there's an unauthorized attempt to reset it will be on models sold by wireless carriers Verizon and US Cellular. The phones go on sale next week.
"Samsung takes the issue of smartphone theft very seriously, and we are continuing to enhance our security and anti-theft solutions," the company said in a statement.

The production version of the Suzuki Ciaz will also be made in China and will cater to other growing markets as well as India.
With the differences in the headlight, taillight, grille and bumpers, the Ciaz’s production version looks identical to the concept that Maruti showcased. The front fascia is adorned by the large swept back headlamps and chunky grille that has been accentuated the four distinctive horizontal slats and a large Suzuki logo. The front bumper too adds to the aggressive look of the Ciaz with a distinctive and forward look that syncs well with the headlights.
