“The single-player campaigns in both games are unaffected by this transition, and the multiplayer mode in the Xbox 360 and PlayStation3 versions of Crysis 2 remain playable,” reads a statement on the official Crysis forum.
“We’d like to thank everyone who has taken up arms in Crysis and Crysis 2′s multiplayer modes in the last few years, and apologize to the small but dedicated community of PC players who are still actively competing against one another.”EA has confirmed that it will keep several older Battlefield games up and operational, and the multiplayer can still be played for Crysis and Crysis 2 on consoles. However, these two losses for such landmark games isn’t going to make fans happy. Mods from dedicated fans and all their hard work will now vanish alongside the titles.
Anybody else still playing these games on multiplayer, or are we all gaming on Crysis 3 these days too much to notice?
